The BRC have learnt that two men of Eastern European appearance have been seen taking photographs of horses. No horses have been stolen, but these men have been seen in different parts of the country and they may be preparing for a raid. If you see anyone taking photographs, do not approach these men as they could turn aggressive, but phone the police immediately. The police are aware of them. Two vehicles have also been noted, a red Land Cruiser registration number B16 RBB and a white van registration number N253 XAJ. Again the police would be interested to hear from you if you spot these vehicles.

Also at 1.30.a.m. on 1st June 2008, police were called out to Hexham, Northumberland, three men were trying to steal two mares and foals. A blue landrover was taken by the Police but no finger prints were found.  The police also found a wagon and inside the back there were a number of quad bikes.
